Monthly Ministries

Depression Support Group
Depression is the world largest club where everyone thinks they are the only member. Depression is a part of our world today and at St Wilfrid’s we strongly believe in supporting those either directly or indirectly affected by depression and anxiety. That is why we have a monthly support group. This is an informal space where those effected either directly or indirectly can go and listen, talk and support one another. This support group is run in conjunction with Soul Matters, a faith based community counseling center .

Men's breakfast
The Men’s Breakfast is held every second Saturday of the month. It provides an opportunity for men to meet in an informal setting, network and discuss their beliefs and opinions, and test their convictions in the world of business, sport, politics, and other fields of fellowship. In addition to our own discussions, we also have guest speakers about topical issues like the crisis of electricity supply in the country as well as the integration of local tradition and beliefs into the modern church. The men also participate in activities and fundraising in and around the church.

Meet and Eat
Meet and Eat is more than an ecumenically ran soup kitchen. With other churches in the area we take it in turns to provide soup and to go and have a time of conversation and sharing with those that cannot afford such luxuries. St Wilfrid’s date to provide soup changes monthly so keep an eye out on the notices at church or contact the office to find out when we are going next.
